Camp Alaska
I spent three months living here - dogsled camp on the Denver glacier in Alaska. The only way in and out was by helicopter, for people, goods and dogs. The camp enabled mushers to train their dogs on snow over the summer and also earn money giving dogsled tours to tourists. While tourists would spend only an hour on the glacier, we lived there. We had sleeping tents, a kitchen a mess-hall and a separate tent for photo and printing equipment. If the weather was good, then once a week I took the helicopter to town to do laundry, shopping and phone my parents.
